Monitoring and Annunciation Units
Ensures health of batteries in critical applications
Used in MV Switchgear panel for annunciation of protection system
Battery Health Monitoring Unit (BHMU)
When Battery is required for critical use then it is necessary to ensure health of the battery. For prolonged life of the battery it is advisable to conduct periodic charge-discharge cycles. However, it observed in the critical application (e.g. RMU’s) most of the time batteries are in float mode only, i.e. in charged condition.
Due to continuous availability of power in such application charge-discharge cycle of battery does not happen, resulting in degradation of battery life & unpredictable back-up or direct shut down conditions. Thus at critical time, when battery back-up is required, it may not be available.
Battery Health Monitoring Unit (BHMU)
Features & Benefits
- Prediction/identification of unhealthy battery for preventive maintenance
- Manual test to confirm the test results
- No shut down of critical load during the test
- Indication & Potential free contacts provided
Fault Annunciation Units
It is a fault annunciation system for Alarm and Trip Conditions. This highly reliable system is widely used in Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear panel for annunciation of protection system. The power transformer protection is realized with two different kinds of devices ,
- Devise measuring the electrical quantities (Eg. Buchholz (Gas) Relay, Pressure Relay, Oil Level monitor Devise, Winding Thermometer etc.)
- Devices indication the status, FAU unit indicates the alarm condition & trip condition of the devices.
Fault Annunciation Unit (FAU)
Features & Benefits
- Wide range of input (85-265 V AC/DC)
- High Operational Reliability
- Alarm & Trip Indications
- Remote reset facility
- Alarm Input 7 nos. of potential free change over contact
- Trip Input 7 nos. of potential free change over contact
